I’m Tracy Gunn and I founded Being at your Best in 2005.
Prior to setting up the business I was Head of Leadership Development for Marks & Spencer, so my areas of expertise are leadership development, personal effectiveness and change management. My ethos is to help individuals be at their best.
When I returned to work after my second maternity leave I didn’t feel I was being at my best. Juggling work and home life was challenging. Feeling like I wasn’t doing a good job at either work or home, I began to apply techniques that I use in leadership courses. With focus and effort I found that I was able to find a balance between being the best parent I can be whilst having a career that I love. Based on that experience I co-founded Mumager in 2014. Mumager started out by offering a 1-day workshop to women who were returning to work after maternity leave.
As the business has grown, we’ve evolved. Our workshops are no longer just for mums. In addition to our Mumager workshop we run Balancing work and home – which is for all parents. We also work with organisations – training line managers in how to support working parents whilst also managing inclusively. Having led large and diverse teams enables me to look at things at both an organisational and individual level.
Whilst I head up Being at your Best, I’m joined by a small and trusted group of associates who help me design and deliver our workshops both face to face and virtually.
